ROCK HILL, S.C. – Emory & Henry University freshman Hannah Booth has been named the South Atlantic Conference Softball Player of the Week, SAC officials announced Tuesday. This year, the SAC Player of the Week awards are sponsored by WePlayed Sports.
This is the second time this season that an E&H softball player has won weekly honors from the league. Rachel Hill was recognized for her accomplishments on February 18.

Booth led Emory & Henry to a 4-0 week in a pair of key SAC doubleheaders, sweeping Carson-Newman University and Tusculum University to move into a tie for fifth place in the league.
The freshman from Longwood, Florida went 9-for-15 (.600) at the plate with five extra-base hits including a pair of home runs. She scored five runs and drove in seven, finishing with a 1.800 OPS.
Wednesday against Carson-Newman, Booth was 4-for-8 with two runs, four RBI, a double and a home run. In Saturday's twin-billing against Tusculum, the catcher/third baseman went 5-for-7, scoring three runs with three RBI, two doubles and a home run.
Emory & Henry steps out of SAC play on Thursday when it visits King (Tenn.) University at 2:00 p.m. for its final non-conference doubleheader of the year. The Wasps close out the regular season at Anderson University on Saturday (1:00 p.m.).
