NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Cross Country Team remains the eighth-ranked team in this week's USTFCCCA Southeast Region Poll, USTFCCCA officials announced Tuesday afternoon. The top 10 in the Southeast Region is unchanged from a week ago.

Cross country regional rankings are determined by a single member coach in each respective region. The role of the regional representative is to weigh each team's strength to project the order of finish at the NCAA Regional Championships in November.

Emory & Henry finished seventh at the Converse Kick-Off on Saturday. The meet served as the de facto Southeast Region Preview Meet as Converse will host this year's region championship at Milliken Research Park.

Wingate University remains at the top of the rankings for the fourth week in a row dating back to the preseason poll. Augusta University, Anderson University, Catawba College and Flagler College continue to take up the two through five spots, respectively.

Emory & Henry will return to action on Saturday, October 5 when it competes in the Newberry Invitational which will serve as a preview meet for this fall's South Atlantic Conference Championships.
