GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Emory & Henry University Men's Golf Team closed out the 2024-25 season at the South Atlantic Conference Championships, finishing in 12th place. The tournament was held at The Preserve at Verdae in Greenville, South Carolina.

Round One
Sophomore Brice Reichard (Amherst, Va.) got the tournament started with a +9 (81) while senior Alex Boone (Clyde, N.C.) carded an 82 (+10). Senior Jhon Ojeda (Cali, COLOMBIA) turned in an 83 (+11) as senior Peerapol Huangching (Rayong, THAILAND) posted a +13 (85). Senior Trent Gehringer (Fleetwood, Pa.) added a +15 (87).
Round Two
On Tuesday, Ojeda posted a 75 (+3) to move into 48th place while Boone carded an 80 (+8) as Reichard went for an 81 (+9) which put them tied for 55th place. Huangching went for a 79 (+7) sit in 58th and Gehringer shot an 89 (+17), good to put him in 64th.
Round Three
The final round saw Ojeda turn in an 83 (+11) to finish 56th at +25. Huangching shot a 79 (+7) while Reichard and Boone carded 81s (+9) to all finish tied for 57th (+27). Gehringer moved up one place into a tie for 63rd at +42 with a final round of 82 (+10).
The Winners
Lincoln Memorial University won the team championship by 42 shots at -20 (279-291-274 – 844), also claiming the top three individual spots. Ian Taggart was the individual medalist at -5, beating teammate Jamie Dean in a one-hole playoff.
Wingate University finished second as a team at +20 while Anderson University was third at +24.
