Jamie Williams is in his first year as Assistant Director of Athletics for Facilities and Coordinator of the Food City Multisport Complex, and fifth year overall at Emory & Henry University. Williams oversees athletic facility scheduling, community engagement for the college’s multimillion dollar Food City Complex, as well as men’s and women’s soccer, lacrosse, track & field, and cross country. Williams brings a passion for sports and a commitment to creating welcoming environments for athletes and fans alike.

A graduate of the former Stonewall Jackson High School in Manassas, Va., Williams was a three-year football letter winner, earning Group AAA Third Team All-State honors as a wide receiver, and was also a four-year letter winner in both indoor and outdoor track & field. 

He began his college career playing one year of football at James Madison University before transferring to E&H, where he graduated in 1993 and was a member of the 1992 ODAC Champion football team that went 10-0 in the regular season, finished 11-1 overall, and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Division III playoffs. 

Williams’ first collegiate coaching role was at his alma mater as assistant women’s basketball coach under Hall of Famer Joy Scruggs, where he coached Hall of Famer Kelly Smith Houseright — a three-time All-ODAC and All-State First-Teamer who earned both ODAC Player of the Year and VaSID State Player of the Year honors. He also brings over 15 years of collegiate and high school coaching experience in cross country and track & field.
