EMORY, Va. - In honor of the 2025 class of the Emory & Henry Sports Hall of Fame, the Emory & Henry University athletic department will be releasing a brief profile of a different inductee each day. Today's inductee is: Paul Sipos.
Paul Sipos – Baseball, Class of 2001
Paul Sipos exemplified the true spirit of a student-athlete during his time at Emory & Henry University, making a lasting impact both on and off the field. A four-year starter for the Wasps baseball team, Paul combined consistency, talent, and leadership to become one of the program's all-time greats. He earned First Team All-ODAC honors in 1999 as a third baseman and still ranks among the top performers in several career and seasonal statistical categories.
Over his collegiate career, Paul ranked:

He led the team in assists every season from 1998 to 2001 and consistently finished at or near the top in batting average, on-base percentage, and total bases. His 2001 season was especially impressive, finishing 2nd in batting average (.355), slugging percentage (.505), and total bases, while leading the team in doubles (13) and on-base percentage (.450).
Beyond baseball, Paul was deeply involved in the athletic community—serving as a student athletic trainer and contributing as a valued member of the women's basketball practice team.
After graduating, Paul began his professional career in the Emory & Henry Admissions Office before transitioning into the insurance industry, where he has found significant success. He currently serves as Executive Vice President of a wholesale insurance brokerage in Ormond Beach, Florida.
Paul Sipos's legacy as a student-athlete, his professional achievements, and his continued embodiment of Emory & Henry values make him a worthy honoree and a proud representative of the University.
